"Horrible": The service was horrible , They attendant didnt let us know that flight was canceled. When we went to check on it she told us to buy a new flight for next day. She didnt give us any information on a refund. The customer service was horrible, and I did not enjoy my customer experience. I will never recommend this airline to anyone, and I will most likely go on social media to discredit this airline. They gave me no voucher for food or accommodation. I had to by a train ticket and spend more money. Do better next time, and serve your customers efficiently.

"Efficient good value no frills flight": China Eastern is a neat and efficient airline offering goood value service. We flew from Beijing to Shanghai Hongqiao for less than $100 each. We needed a taxi on arrival but they're cheap if you stay in the queue and take a registered cab - resist the touts who want to lure you into private cars charging three or four times as much. The aircraft was an Airbus 330 with plenty of space and the cabin crew were helpful and welcoming.

"A very straightforward experience - no frills, no fuss": The staff were helpful and charming, offering me a blanket in case my legs were cold in the shorts I was wearing. The Airbus 330 afforded ample leg room. Soft drinks and peanuts were liberally provided. The buses from the aircraft to hhe terminal took up some time, but I would have no hesitation in flying China Eastern again.
