Our flight was supposed to leave at 9.45pm. We we arrived at the airport at 7.30pm and were told that the flight had been delayed 2 hours. This increased three times and eventually we got on the plane after 4am. We were not told any reason for this and at the gate there was chaos. We were given no food or water while waiting and all the shops were closed. Once on thr plane people were screaming and shouting for money back. The airline staff were very patient. The plane then stayed on the runway until 6am before we finally left. We had no information about what was happening. It was an awful experience. We arrived at Hangzhou at 8.30am starving and exhausted, dehydrated and we had lost our hotel booking and our day of exploring the city as we were too tired. We feel that we are due compensation for our inconvenience, stress and lost money spent on an usused hotel and extra taxi fares.
