The food is disgusting and the planes smell really poorly. The staff on the plane is pretty nice but, get frustrated easily and yell at you if you don't understand them the first time. It was cheap so that's nice!

There was an issue with the online check in service for Shanghai airlines. The website wasn't sending me a code to verify the cancellation of the check in. Shanghai airlines couldn't figure out how to cancel my check-in so that china travel depot could change my flight time to a later evening flight. I had to wake up at 5am to call Shanghai airlines to cancel the check in because they couldn't do it via the website. I tried for hours to get them to cancel it and they said nobody was answering at the PVG check in counter. They kept hanging up on me. She didn't know how to cancel is because the verification code is automated by the website. She was very nice but, unfortunately couldn't cancel my check in. She recommended I try when PVG check in desk would definitely be open around 5am. I woke up at 5am to call Shanghai airlines to get them to cancel it and try the PVG check in counter again. A new customer service rep tried an app and was able to cancel the check-in. Then I called my china travel depot representative at 5am to change my flight. I had to pay about $135 USD in extra fees because Shanghai airlines couldn't figure out how to cancel the check in. It was disappointing but, everyone was really nice. I don't think I'll use this service or the airline again because it was so stressful and a nightmare.
