It was a night coach flying from DYG to PVG with a clean aircraft (B 737) and tentative flight attendants who served one round of non-alcoholic drink. The arrival at PVG was at a remote site. The passengers were bused to a terminal. Overall it was a satisfying flight.

We were so very pleasantly surprised when we were told at Check in that we had been upgraded to first class. The flight was very comfortable, the service was very good and staff were friendly.

Unfortunately, I had no good experience with this flight.
I guess it was not the flight in general but on this specific day because of delay and later cancellation and the service on the airport was really poor.
I especially had booked this flight at this time to arrive in Shanghai in the early evening as I also had booked a hotel room in Shanghai and met someone there.
At the time of booking the flight, there was only a seat in the business class available. But to arrive in Shanghai early in the evening I took the higher cost of business class to get this flight.
On the day of the flight I checked in regularly at the airport. After some time I saw on the information screen that the flight would have a delay. The personnel at the airport could not help me with a new time for the flight and I first had to find someone who could speak English to give me this information. After some time the screen showed that the flight would leave at 10.45pm what was already more than 3 hours later than scheduled. While waiting I asked the personnel at the airport information desk several times when the flight would leave but nobody was able to give me this information. After some time I asked the people at the check-in desk and by accident I came to know that the flight had been completely cancelled what had not been announced on the screens.
Asking for a solution at the check-in desk, I was just asked what was MY problem and whether I would like to leave to Shanghai on that day. The people at the check-in desk were a bit insolent to be honest. After all I had been rebooked on another flight, leaving at 11.45pm. This flight was not leaving as scheduled as well (left at around 1pm).
After all I arrived in Shanghai in the hotel at around 4am. I lost most of my night I had paid in the Shanghai hotel due to the delays and cancellation by the airline and also lost a part of my vacation day as I could not do a big tour without sleeping first. Also for waiting for more than 4 hours at the airport there was not any compensation.
Given the fact that I especially had booked the business class seat for much more money to get to Shanghai earlier and then arriving hours later I can not give a good rating on this flight and on my booking.
