Arrived into Singapore into a deluge, thank goodness not staying yet. On to Shanghai, efficient collection by our guide Fiona, who is gorgeous, CC thinks so anyway! First day walking around getting bearings.
Tour of Shanghai next, amazing city on banks of Huangpu River. Huge architectural skyskrapers everywhere. Very hot and humid. Saw the Yu Garden, Yuyuan Market, walked along the Bund (which means keyside), bartered in Nanjing Road shops, up the Jinmao Tower 420.5 meters tall, highest in China, amazing views from viewing area. Grand Hyatt has floors 53-87. Treat for the day, taken to Tea House for Tea Ceremony, excellent, beautiful music being played, very entertaining. Typical Chinese restaurant for lunch, delicious. Evening went to see Acrobatic Show, excellent.
