Have Fun in Dali
Starting out from Dali, a city in China's southern province of Yunnan, following the road west toward Erhai Lake, the gorgeous scenery along the road is totally different from the crowded city. Countless white egrets leisurely rest and take off in the paddy fields. Thanks to the influence of Erhai Lake, a cool wind blows even in the summer in Dali.
 When it comes to fleeing the summer heat, the snow on Cangshan Mountain is a can't-miss for tourists. Even in the hot summer, snow can still be found in the shade of the mountain. More fantastic than coming across snow in summer is eating it. Don't be so surprised - it's true that the snow of Cangshan Mountain can be eaten. To make a snow dish, shape white snow into a little ball, put it into a bowl and add honey, home-made rose syrup and plums. It not only looks tempting, but also tastes cool and sweet.
On entering Dali Old Town, historical and quiet rural scenery comes into sight. The roads still keep the chessboard-style network structure of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The entire town's black-tile-roofed house and cobbled walls express the elegance and simplicity of Dali Old Town.
In July, clear brooks are ubiquitous, murmuring in front of every house. Families rich and poor have decorated gardens with pricy camellias and azaleas. Gardens merge together from home to home, resulting in a maze of flowered lanes.
Melted snow from Cangshan Mountain flows into Erhai Lake, making its waters icy cold even in the hot summers. It makes the lake a wonderful place for a refreshing swim.  Admiring the moon on the edge of Erhai Lake is also a marvelous idea. Quiet nights with serene moonlight - the atmosphere is just as Beethoven described in his "Moonlight Sonata."
In addition, pawpaw water and bean jelly are infinitely seductive treats for tourists.
