- Tour Itinerary: (1), Pick up service from your Kunming downtown hotel by your tour guide and driver at 8:00AM; (2), Dianchi Lake -Sightseeing (1.5 hours); (3), Grand View Park -Sightseeing (1.5 hours); (4), Local Restaurant-Lunch (1 hour); (5), The Dragon Gate in the Western Hills -Sightseeing (1 hour); (6), Huating temple -Sightseeing (1.5 hours); (7), Drop-off service at your Kunming downtown hotel before 5:00PM.
- The Dianchi Lake, also known as Kunming Lake, is praised as "the Pearl of the Plateau". The rising waves and the fishing boats, and the reflection on the water of the surrounding mountains combine to produce an intoxicating landscape. Various scenic spots look like grains of pearls inlaid on the 150 kilometer-long periphery of the lake, earning it the prestige as a "Crystal Pearl" in the plateau. The Western Hills, located at the west bank of the Dianchi Lake, is over 2,500 meters above sea level, also called the Green Peacock Mountain, refers to a range of five mountains stretching over 40 kilometers.
- Seen from afar, its undulating skyline resembles a graceful young lady sleeping on her back, hence the name of the "sleeping beauty". Its luxuriant trees and bamboos set off splendid Huating Temple, Taihua Temple, Sanqing Monastery and the Dragon Gate. Daguan Park provides a spectacular view across sparkling Dianchi Lake to the distant Western Hills. Among the ancient architectures in this park, the three-storey Daguan Pavilion, which is decorated with flying eaves and splendid paintings, is the highlight of Daguan Park.
