Dear James,
We just got back home from vacation. I am glad you give us a chance to give a comment on your service, and I want to write something to others for their decision making. We had a wonderful time at China tour. We are very please with the service that was provided to us. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and really took care of us during our visit.
We love every food that was provided to us. It was really delicious. Each places were different and the food were served differently. I highly recommend the restaurant that we went to one of the hotel. I do not remember the exact name of the restaurant but I believe this is located inside the hotel. I have to go through with our pictures again.
On the first tour day, we reached the Bond, which was the symbol of Shanghai. It was amazing to see so many European style building in China. Later we went to Nanjing Road, and our guide told us it was called the No.1 commercial street of China. It was similar to Wangfujing Street, as the vendors sold mainly to foreigners. The last day we went to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Standing in it, I could see the places I visited on the first day.
At last, thanks for the picture and the memorable moment. Hotels and food were good, no complain. All the guides were good and helpful including the drivers.

As soon as you get out of the airport or train station, you will be hounded by people trying to sell you discount tours to the Warriors. A lot of them are scams or near-scams (low quality). Before you arrive in the city, arrange a day tour with a reputable company.

Urban adventures is run by a reputable, well-known Australian tour company. They are a bit pricey, but you know you are going to get a guide you can trust, that is licensed, and can provide a pretty adequate standard.
EmmasTours.com
Emma is the hidden gem of Xi'an tour guides. She lives in Xi'an and has traveled to Europe and the States for several summers and Westerners feel very comfortable with her. She runs her own operation, so if you are looking for something a little more personalized and at a lower price point, then I highly recommend booking a tour with her.
I personally used Emma for a 2 day tour in Xi'an and the Warriors and used Urban Adventures for a nice Bicycle Night tour in Beijing. |
