- Day 01
- Destinations: Arrive in Beijing
- Activities:You'll be met on arrival at Beijing airport. Free time rest of the day exploring the nearby streets, or resting and catching up on your jetlag. Beijing is a city of amazing contrasts – an ancient capital with incredible historical sites, and a bustling modern metropolis hosted the 2008 Olympics.

- Destinations: Beijing
- Activities::After breakfast, we will leave for Great Wall at Badaling, which stretches for over 6000km, and was originally built to protect China from the barbarians. You can walk and climb at your own pace. In the afternoon visit the 2008 Beijing Olympic Park and Olympic village will be open to public from October, 2008. We will walk in the world's biggest Olympic Park and have a glimpse of the Olympic stadiums, such as Bird's Nest - National Stadium, and Water Cube - National Aquatics Center. Finally visit the Summer Palace, the most beautiful imperial garden in China. You can have a boat ride on the lake which is a best way to enjoy the beautiful view.

- Day 03
- Destinations: Beijing to Hohhot
- Activities:After breakfast head out for Tian'anmen Square, the world's largest public square, which is closely linked to The Forbidden City, from which the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties governed for over 500 years. Later you'll visit the Temple of Heaven, where the Emperors prayed for good harvests and rain, or gave thanks for the harvest. Then you will take a flight to Hohhot, where your local guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to check in the hotel.

- Day 04
- Destinations: Hohhot
- Activities:Go to the beautiful Xilamuren Grassland by bus. You can enjoy the beautiful scene of Yishan Mountains on the way. Arrive at noon. Have Mongolian "finger mutton" for lunch. The mutton on the grassland does not have any rammish smell but pleasant smell of grass. In the afternoon, you can take some activities, such as watch horse race, wrestling performance, visit herdsman's house, experience their life on the grassland, taste some silk productions, photograph, watch the sunset and ride horse on the grassland.

- Destinations: Hohhot to Datong
- Activities:After breakfast, you will first visit Zhaojun Tomb, where one of the four most beautiful ladies in ancient China was buried. The tomb is also called Green Tomb for green grass covers the surface of the 33-meter-high (about 108 feet) tomb. Then we will be the famous Tibetan Buddhist Dazhao Temple. As the tour ends, you will take a soft seat train for 4.5 hours to arrive in Datong. Your local guide will meet you at Datong Railway Station and transfer you to the hotel.

- Destinations: Datong
- Activities:In the morning, visit Yungang Grottoes which is one of the four major grottoes in China. Yungang Grottoes were excavated between the 5th and the 6th century in the Northern Wei Dynasty and extends about 1 km (0.62 miles) from east to west. It includes 53 caves and over 51,000 vivid stone Buddhist statues, all of which display the glorious culture and history about 1,500 years ago. After that, you will head for the amazing Hanging Monastery hanging on the cliff of a gorge more than 50 meters (164 feet) above the ground. Although it was built over 1,500 years, the monastery is still solid and firm. It is also the only monastery in China that combines Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism together.

- Destinations: Datong to Beijing
- Activities:Take the morning soft seat train to Beijing.Your last stop in Beijing is a trip through the Hutong by rickshaw. This maze of narrow alleyways winding around the Forbidden City is fast disappearing, and you'll get a precious glimpse into their distinctive culture as you zigzag through them, drop into a primary school and a flea market, and have lunch with a local family featuring delicious Chinese dumplings.

- Destinations: Depart from Beijing
- Activities:Free at your own leisure before departure. Our guide will meet you in the hotel lobby at the appointed time and transfer you to the airport for your flight home.

Cancellation and refund policy for Tours reservation
- If you want to cancel your booking or part of it, you must advise us in writing to chinatours@ChinaTravelDepot.com by e-mail or 0086-10-58158822 by fax. The letter must be signed by the lead name on the booking and once we receive it you should expect to receive a cancellation letter within 24 hours. If you do not then please contact us to ensure your letter has been received.
- To cover the cost of processing your cancellation and to compensate us for the risk that we may not be able to resell your travel arrangements, we make a cancellation charge on the scale shown below. The person who made the booking is responsible for paying this charge. The size of the charge depends on when we receive your cancellation notice or letter or how you would like us to deal with your payment providing that we have received your full payment for the tours.
