- Day 01
- Destinations: Arrival in Shanghai
- Activities:You'll be greeted on arrival in Shanghai. On the way to the hotel, your guide will explain programs in Shanghai. Spend the rest of the day exploring the nearby streets, or catching up on your jetlag.
Situated at the southern side of Yangtze River estuary, Shanghai became communication and trade center in 1930s between China and the west. Based on economy redevelopment from 1980, Shanghai grew into commercial and financial center as well as largest metropolis in China. Shanghai owns large amount of landmarks, sightseeing attractions and good facilities of hotels, catering and transportation. One of the largest global events, World Expo 2010 will be held in Shanghai from May to October.

- Activities:Morning sightseeing begins at Yuyuan Garden in the old town of Shanghai, which has an original city wall established in the 11th century. Continue your trip to the Jade Buddha Temple where you can see precious and valuable statue and other collections. After shopping at local art & craft souvenir store, continue your trip to the Bund, the waterfront which shows Shanghai in early 1930s. Then you may stroll through the famous Nanjing Road for shopping. At night enjoy a wonderful Huangpu River Night Cruise to see Shanghai in evening veil.

- Destinations: Shanghai
- Activities:We start the day by visiting Shanghai Museum which is the biggest museum in China. With a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural relics, the museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy. Next you will visit the famous Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The Second Viewing Platform provides wonderful panorama over Shanghai and the Huang Pu River. Those who prefer top view may buy a ticket to the very top. In the afternoon, make a visit to the local carpet factory to see the exquisite craftmanship, then continue to take a relaxing walk to the Old French concession region. The area, which dates from the French Colonial period, is home to many of the city's best restaurants. Great area for a weekend stroll or to find a delicious food in the heart of downtown.

- Destinations: Shanghai to Beijing
- Activities: Transfer to the airport and fly to Beijing, an ancient capital with incredible historical sites listed in World Heritage as well as a bustling modern metropolis having hosted the 2008 Olympics. Upon your arrival in Beijing, our professional guide will meet you at airport and transfer you to the Hotel. During the trip, he/she will give you some tips on local restaurants and shops in streets nearby. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the neighborhood by yourself.

- Destinations: Beijing
- Activities:After breakfast head out for Tian'anmen Square, the world's largest public square, the symbol of Beijng as well as China where national ceremonies took place. Then go straight ahead to Forbidden City, royal court and home of emperors from Ming and Qing dynasties over 500 years. Later you'll visit Temple of Heaven, where the Emperors prayed for good harvests and worshipped God of Heaven.Today's itinerary includes a visit to the old Beijing handicraft workshop. In the evening enjoy a fantastic Shaolin Kungfu Show.

- Destinations: Beijing
- Activities:Be an early bird and catch the rewarding view of the Great Wall at Badaling section. Stretching over 6000 km, the Great Wall was originally constructed as defense work to protect China from the nomadics. You can walk and climb at your own pace, or enjoy spectacular views from the cable car. In the afternoon you'll take a look of Changling Tomb (one of the Ming Tombs with best preserved ground architecture) as well as the attractive tree-lined Sacred Way, bordered by stone statues. After sightseeing, continue a visit to Jade Caving Factory or Cloisonné (enamelware) workshop. Dinner tonight is at Quanjude Restaurant, where you'll eat some of the best 'Roasted Duck' in Beijing.

- Destinations: Beijing
- Activities:In the morning, sit in the rickshaw and enjoy Hutong Cultural Tour. Dotted around the Houhai Hutong area, traditional alleyways and courtyard houses are the typical representitives of old Beijing residence. Your tour includes a visit to the Drum and Bell Towers, Kindergarten, Tea House, and local people's houses. Then continue your journey to Summer Palace, the best preserved and renovated imperial garden of Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). UNESCO descriped it as " An outstanding expression of the creative art of Chinese landscape garden design, incorporating the works of humankind and nature in a harmonious whole."
After your sightseeing, you will make a visit to a local art & craft factory & workshop and do some last minute souvenir shooping.

- Activities:Enjoy your free time, do some shopping or just go around the neibourhood, then transfer to airport for your flight home.

Cancellation and refund policy for Tours reservation
- If you want to cancel your booking or part of it, you must advise us in writing to chinatours@ChinaTravelDepot.com by e-mail or 0086-10-58158822 by fax. The letter must be signed by the lead name on the booking and once we receive it you should expect to receive a cancellation letter within 24 hours. If you do not then please contact us to ensure your letter has been received.
- To cover the cost of processing your cancellation and to compensate us for the risk that we may not be able to resell your travel arrangements, we make a cancellation charge on the scale shown below. The person who made the booking is responsible for paying this charge. The size of the charge depends on when we receive your cancellation notice or letter or how you would like us to deal with your payment providing that we have received your full payment for the tours.
