  • Destinations: Arrive in Beijing
  • Activities:Welcome to Beijing! We are sure that you will find splendid cultural relics and fascinating local way of life in this old and young city. You'll be met and greeted at Beijing Airport upon your arrival in Beijing. You may explore the nearby streets, or just relax in hotel room to get ready for your wonderful trip.

  • Day 02
  • Destinations: Beijing
  • Activities:After breakfast head out for Tian'anmen Square, the world's largest public square, the symbol of Beijng as well as China. Then go straight ahead to Forbidden City, royal court and home of emperors from Ming and Qing dynasties over 500 years. Later you'll visit Temple of Heaven, where the Emperors prayed for good harvests and worshipped God of Heaven. Then take your chance to visit local Pearl Shop or other souvenir shore to get a close look of local art & craft.

  • Day 03
  • Destinations: Beijing
  • Activities:After approximately two hours' drive to the northeastern mountain range, your excursion will be the highlight of this trip, get ready for the real challenge-trekking on the Great Wall from Simatai to Jinshanling. Take your lunch box with you and start trekking on the Great Wall to feel the greatness of this project, beautiful scenery and painstaking efforts made by Chinese people who constructed the wall long time ago. It will take you about 4-5 hours on normal pace and you will enjoy the spectacular views along the way. In the late afternoon you will be driven back to your hotel.

  • Destinations: Beijing to Xi'an
  • Activities:Visit the Summer Palace, one of the most beautiful imperial gardens constructed in Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) which was regarded as the top masterpiece of Chinese garden design. Over there you can take a close look at living quaters of late Qing royal family. Continue your trip to the silk factory and view the method of getting silk strings from cocoons and making silk products. In the afternoon, go to see the Hutongs, the traditional alleyways and courtyard houses. Dotted around the Houhai Hutong area are the Drum and Bell Towers, Kindergarten, Tea House, and local people's houses. In the late afternoon, you will be transferred to the Beijing Airport for your flight to Xi'an and your local tour guide will meet and greet you at Xi'an airport.

  • Destinations: Xi'an
  • Activities:Visit the best part of Xi'an, first to Terracotta Warrior facotry to gain some knowledge of how to make the warriors, then you will proceed to see the real Terracotta Warriors and Horses in the museum. These lifesize vivid army corps were supposed to guard the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (221BC-206BC). Continue your trip to visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the landmark of the ancient capital city - Xi'an, where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India.

  • Destinations: Xi'an
  • Activities:After a nice breakfast in the hotel, take a walk on the ancient city wall. Xi'an is the only ancient capital with well preserved city wall in China. It is such a big contrast while walking on the ancient city wall with skyscrapers on both sides. It is so interesting that the ancient city gate for horse cart is just wide enough for modern vehicles. in the afternoon you will visit the museum of Stele Forest, the best place to understand Chinese calligraphy art.

  • Day 07
  • Destinations: Xi'an to Guilin
  • Activities:Take a morning flight to Guilin, picturesque city in China. Upon arrival, your local guide will escort you to your hotel. After a short break, your tour begins at Reed Flute Cave. Known as the Palace of Natural Arts, this large and well-presented cave has some remarkable formations. Your next stop is Elephant Trunk Hill which really does look like an elephant drinking from the river.

  • Destinations: Guilin
  • Activities: This morning, drive about 1 hour to the pier to catch a cruise down the picturesque Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo. As you take in the stunning scenery, there is always something interesting to see at every bend in the river. Between spectacular limestone peaks you'll see graceful bamboo groves, farmers tending rice paddies, and lumbering water buffaloes pulling carts or cooling off in the river. You may see fishermen gliding along on their narrow bamboo rafts and fishing cormorants. You can spend some time exploring the little town and wandering at the West Street. Overnight at Yangshuo.

  • Destinations: Guilin to Shanghai
  • Activities:Today you will go to Yangshuo Moon Hill first. The Moon Cave is named for its giant archway (about 50 meters, 980steps). Then you will visit Big Banyan Tree, which was believed to be planted in the Jin Dynasty (1115-1234) and is famous for its age and towering beauty. The banyan tree is now 17 meters high, 7.1 meters around the trunk, and covers an area of 1000 square meters. Continue your trip to have an interesting biking experience in Beautiful Yangshuo. Biking through the paddy field and orchards that surround the famous mountains will give a fascinating insight into life in rural China. Finally, you will be transferred to the airport to fly to Shanghai. You will be greeted and transferred to your hotel in Shanghai.

  • Destinations: Shanghai
  • Activities:Today you will start your tour to visit Shanghai Museum, which is the biggest museum in China with a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural relics. The museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy. After that, you will walk into the most beautiful private garden in China, Yuyuan Garden, a traditional Chinese park decorated by beautiful pavilions, miniature lakes, bridges and rock formations. After lunch, you will climb up the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, which is standing by the Huangpu River as a new landmark of Shanghai in 21st century.

  • Destinations: Depart from Shanghai
  • Activities:Be free and easy and enjoy your leisure time until you are ready to transfer to the airport for your departure.

Cancellation and refund policy for Tours reservation
  • If you want to cancel your booking or part of it, you must advise us in writing to chinatours@ChinaTravelDepot.com by e-mail or 0086-10-58158822 by fax. The letter must be signed by the lead name on the booking and once we receive it you should expect to receive a cancellation letter within 24 hours. If you do not then please contact us to ensure your letter has been received.
  • To cover the cost of processing your cancellation and to compensate us for the risk that we may not be able to resell your travel arrangements, we make a cancellation charge on the scale shown below. The person who made the booking is responsible for paying this charge. The size of the charge depends on when we receive your cancellation notice or letter or how you would like us to deal with your payment providing that we have received your full payment for the tours.
