       Jiuzhaigou Transportation

Jiuzhaigou National Park is a nature reserve in the north of Sichuan, which is a province in south western China. It has become a world renowned scenic spot because of its many multi-level waterfalls and colorful lakes. In 1992 the National Park was declared on the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Although the mode of transport lacks diversification, it’s totally worth a visit.

By air

At present, a relatively convenient way to Jiuzhaigou is taking a plane to Chengdu or Chongqing first and then transferring to Huanglong Airport in Jiuzhaigou. There are flights to Chengdu and Chongqing from all the major domestic cities. Among all the routes to Huanglong Airport, flights from Chengdu Shuangliu Airport are favored as there are more than 20 flights which depart from here every day and the flight time is about 40 minutes. There are also flights from Chongqing Jiangbei Airport to Huanglong Airport which is not as popular as the Chengdu flights but its flight time is about one hour.
By charter
Most of the tourists to Jiuzhaigou think that when they arrive at the Huanglong Airport they are in Jiuzhaigou already. But in fact they are still approximately 88 km away from Jiuzhaigou and it takes about 1.5 hours and 50 kilometers from the Huanglong Scenic Area which takes about one hour. Moreover, it takes about 2.5 - 3 hours from Jiuzhaigou to Huanglong Scenic Area as the airport is located between them. Therefore, to charter a travel car or bus is a very reasonable choice.
