Guangzhou Weather

Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province, has a sub-tropical climate with minimal temperature differences among China except Kunming city. It used to be called the City of Flowers because of its abundant rainfall and sunshine which brings vibrant colours to the town even when winter comes along which brings along heavy snow in great flakes to the northern areas. Although everything looks enjoyable here, destructive typhoons do occur occasionally in scorching summers between August and September. However, apparently the small meteorological disaster does not keep visitors away from here to enjoy the stunning urban landscape, but we recommend a friendlier season to stop by such as autumns which just follows summers.
Best time to go:
In the cool when a small amount of rain is the better season which is from October to December. These days are more comfortable for outside activities in comparison to humid springs and hot summers. Nevertheless winter is acceptable especially to admire the beauty of the flowers. Going swimming or diving is preferred in the summers, which makes an umbrella unnecessary if you feel like exposure in the sunshine when walking around in the streets.
