Composed of three big regions--- commercial Hankou, cultural Wuchang and tourism Hanyang, Wuhan is a city alongside the Changjiang River that you cannot miss during your trip in China. Among the three regions, Hankou is the most prosperous and is regarded as the Shopping Paradise in Wuhan, where Jianghan Shopping Street, People Park, Hanzheng Wholesale Market and Quanxin Clothing Street should be at the top of your travel list.

Wuchang covers many shopping areas such as Jiedaokou, Guangfutun, Sikoumen and so on. If you want to buy your friends and relatives some local products, baked sesame cake, Xiaogan sesame sugar, Jingwu duck neck and Wuchang fish are all good choices. With a history of nearly one century, Jianghan Road is acting as a museum, witnessing the great changes Wuhan has experienced. The street is about 1500 meters long, crowded with western styled buildings which were built in 1930s. The combination of old shops and modern goods earns it the name “Mainland Hong Kong”. The sculptures mirroring the daily life of Wuhan citizens have become one of the most attracting scenes in this metropolitan city. Connecting Hanzheng Street and Hankou marshland, Jianghan Street is developing into the centre of Hankou commercial region.
Jiangzheng Street is a fabulous place for shopping, travelling and goods exchange, and it is also a good place for travellers to experience the open and enthusiastic attitude of Wuhan people when making a deal with them. As one famous distribution centre in China, Hanzheng Street gathers a large quantity of small commodities such as clothes, socks, watches and toys. In this shopping street, fair price is one aspect that draws thousands of people from home and abroad. But if you want to make purchase on this street, shopping around to get the best buy is a wise choice.
Located in the golden commercial area in Hankou, Wuhan Plaza Shopping Centre can be called “the Commercial Carrior” in Wuhan and even in the whole China. The architecture is a successful combination of old and new, eastern and western. As the largest shopping centre incorporating entertainment, food, shopping and commerce, it attracts over 2 million brands all over the world to open up stores here.
The commercial regions scatter on Hankou Liberation Street and Zhongshan Street, which house Wuhan Square, World Trade Square, SOGO, Wangfujing Store and so on. The New People Leisure Land is an excellent destination for young people to enjoy themselves, thereby earning the highest popularity in Wuhan.
