Seasons in Shanghai are pretty distinctive. The climate is mild and humid.

The hottest months are July and August. It’s better for people to stay indoors in these days. January and February are the coldest months. Thick down coat is necessary. You have to wear a lot against the coldness. It doesn’t snow a lot in winter. In some years, there is no snow at all. 

 The best time to go to Shanghai should be spring, which is from March to May. Everything comes to life from dead winter in spring. The temperature is just fine. You can wear cardigan or shirt. From June to July, it rains a lot in Shanghai. The weather is rather changeable. It is not suggested to travel in Shanghai in these days. From August to September, Typhoon often occurred in Shanghai. It’s pretty hot at that time. Heavy rain may make you feel cool. But an umbrella is necessary.
