As the capital of China, Beijing is one of the most populous cities in the world.  By air

Beijing Capital International Airport is located northeast ofBeijing, approximately25.35 kilometers from the city centre. It is one of the three major aviation hubs in mainland China, and offers a wide variety of international and domestic connections.The airport possesseshigh-quality services and facilities, instigating 11 domestic airlines and 55 international airlines to service China’s capital city.The airport hasconnections to more than 88 domestic cities and 69 foreign cities. Every week more than 5,000 scheduled flights take off from Beijing Capital International Airport to locations all around the globe.

By train

Beijinghas the largest railway hub in northern China, with major Chinese railway lines such as Beijing-Kowloon, Beijing-Guangzhou, Beijing-Shanghai, Beijing-Harbinconnecting the capital to the rest of the country. Beijing’s railway system comprises of nine different tracks which are interconnected  by Beijing’scentral hub station. Trains journeying to and from Beijing have reached astonishing levels, on one day alone 172 trains entered or left from Beijing to 88 different cities and 4 countries. During peak periods passenger volume can reach 53.22 million, these overwhelmingly high levels will continue to rise as rail expansion flourishes.

By bus

Tiananmen Square in Beijing acts as the center for Beijing’s uniform bus network, causing the transportation system to revolve around the famous site.The ancient city’s plan enabled roads to bebuilt around the Tiananmen Square, with the latitude and longitude linesconnecting together to enable a steady flow of traffic. With the city’sexpansion, the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth ring roads were introduced to ease congestion. The new seventh ring has been introduced as a semicircle, which has a total length of more than 500 kilometers.

Bus NO.1, 4 , 52 and 57 go through the wide Chang'an Avenue across the city, along the Jian’guo Hotel, Beijing, London Hotel, International Hotel, Friendship Store, Tiananmen Square, the telegraph building, etc. Tram 103 pulls out of the Beijing Railway Station leisurely across the entire city to the Beijing Zoo. Air-conditioned bus NO’s. 808, 801, 802, 803 pass through bustling streets across the city.

By subway

Beijing subway system currently consists of 15 lines including Line 1, Line 2, Line 5, Batong Line, Daxing Line, Changping Line, Fangshan Line, etc. With a total of 191 stations, the subway system covers an impressive 339.5 kilometers daily. The subway is a very popular form of transportation around Beijing as it is reliable and easy to navigate; a one-way ticket anywhere in the city currently costs ¥ 2 per person. The low price also contributes to the high levels of use, Beijing’s Subwayaverage daily traffic is 5.1 million passengers.
