Xi’an belongs to sub-humid warm temperate continental monsoon climate zone.
The diurnal temperature range is very high in Xi’an, around 10℃ within a single day . It would be cold in the morning and night and warmer in the daytime.. The UV rays are very heavy, so a high SPF sunscreen is a must.

Xi’an present different features for its clear distinction of four seasons, the climates of each season are listed below:
Spring: ( March to May): the temperature range from 6 ℃ to 20 ℃ . It is usually warm in the spring and Sunny days occupies most of the time. The weather of spring days are so agreeable that makes the season a suitable time for outdoor activities and traveling.
Some advices on clothing: long sleeve shirts with long pants, prepare a jacket and a sweater if needed.
Summer：（June to August）：the temperature range from 15℃to 26℃. The morning and the night will be cool and the daytime is hot. The summer tends to be the rainy season so it usually rained at times in summer.
Advice on clothing in sunny days: T-shirts and pants, prepare sunscreen and sunglasses.
While on the rainy days, you need to wear a coat or a jacket and prepare a raincoat or an umbrella.
Autumn: (September to November): the temperature range from 10℃ to 23℃. The rainy days serve as the mainstream of the season.
