Shigatse Accomodation
Shigatse is the transportation center of Tibet and many outsiders stay here. Therefore, there are quite a few restaurants and hotels of various kinds and also some private inns. Among them, Shigatse hotel (three-star level) is relatively expensive in which the price of each standard room is 200 to 300 yuan. The Sangzi Hotel in the center of Shigatse is affordable with the price only 100 yuan to 200 yuan. You can buy fruits and commodities in a big bazar when you get out the Sangzi hotel, walk southward along the street.
The room price of Danzeng Hotel located in Bangjiakonglu farmer’s market is different from 30 to 100 yuan. The hotel provides close-washing service charged around 1 to 3 yuan each. Beds in rooms are clean and tidy. It’s convenient for guests to visit Tashihunpo Monastery.
It is worth noting that hot water is provided in limited time in most hotels and visitors who would like to take a shower should be hurry up.
There are some other places which can provide accommodation:
Gyangze Hotel (two-star level) is the most exclusive hotel in Gyangze County. The price is different from 400 to 500 yuan, cloth-washing service is provided there with the charge of 3 to 4 yuan each and you can rent cars there.
Zhanglin Hotel (one-star level) closed to Nyalam custom of Zhangmu port. The standard room is 100 yuan with sanitary facility and provides canned beer and cocacola which could be brought by Nepal rupee. The facilities are impeccable as far as there is the border area concerned.
