Lijiang Weather
Lijiang is situated in a plateau with low latitude with a typical climate for a mountain area. The rainy season lasts from May to October, with the main rainfall from July through to August. The temperature between day and night is 20℃ at most, which makes a coat a necessity.
The best time to go:
The four seasons contribute to very different sceneries during one year. Yulong Mountain wears white snow in winter, which turns this city into a peaceful wonderland. Laojun Mountain, Ancient Shuhe Town and Ancient Baisha Town shows off the flourishing fauna and cute local creatures in summer. In autumn, there is a fabulous opportunity to watch migrant birds flying over. So it is hard to catch all the beautiful views at once but no matter what time of the year you will go, you will always see something spectacular.
