            Taiyuan Transportation

Taiyuan is one of the main transport hubs in North China which has already formed a multi-faceted, comprehensive transportation network. Taiyuan Airport has opened more than 50 international and domestic routes to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and other cities. Railways and highways have also been extended in all directions which make the transportation in Taiyuan extremely well developed.

 By air

Taiyuan International Airport is located in Wusu which is in the southern part of Taiyuan City and it is approximately 15 kilometers from the city centre. More than 50 routes head to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, and other major domestic cities, as well as international airlines to Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore and many more.
There are airport shuttle buses from the airport but because they are only small it cannot accommodate to a lot of passengers which arrive at once therefore it is not very convenient to use a bus when there are a lot of passengers. Therefore taking a taxi to the city centre will be a better choice and will not be as time consuming compared to waiting for the shuttle bus.
By train
Taiyuan Railway Station is located near the Jianshe North Road, facing the Yingze Avenue. There are more than 20 trains heading to Beijing, Hangzhou, Jinan and other domestic cities every day. It is also easily accessible by many city buses.

By bus

Taiyuan is a city which possesses perfect bus nets based on its wide roads and steady traffic flow. There are 67 bus lines that almost reach every corner of the city which makes it incredibly convenient not only for travelling to the various attractions but also for the daily life of the citizens.
