 | Fairy Pool Scenic Area
Wucaichi is a scenic area consisting of various pools, it is famous for its unique size and colours among the numerous ponds in Jiuzhaigou. Through the pure transparent water in the pond, you can clearly figure out the stones lying at the bottom and even make out the waterweeds. In the sunshine, the pond presents a beautiful view that’ll never fade. The rippling water changes from blue to green, and then gold and purple, the various colours alternating makes it quite incredible According to legends, the Wucaichi was the pool where the goddess Swmo did her washing and the god Dage carried water from the long sea for her every day. After a considerable period of time, the cliff was treaded into 189 steps by Dage. People in love always believe that if one could climb down the hill to Wucaichi along the steps and make a wish and then who are able to climb up again, would be able to gain a life full of love. It is only one km from the long sea down to Wucaichi. Embedded within the valleys down the ghot, Wucaichi is 2995m high, 6.6m deep and covering 5645 square meters. Although Wucaichi is the smallest and exquisite one among all the ponds, the colours of it are the most gorgeous therefore equally matching Wuhuahai. The water of Wucaichi is extraordinarily clear, through which you can see the textures of the stones and some phytocoenosiums like Spirogyra, stonewort and araiostegia, along with bulrush, equisetum ramosissimum and water wicks. Different aquatic life contains different Chlorophylls which have different shades of green, making it look different in the water. Whenever you hit the water the sun shines upon the pond then the water would suddenly ripple with attractive waves. The waves would flicker a halo with colours of red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. When autumn draws, the forests and flowers turn red making the reflection of this beautiful scene on the surface of Wucaichi would definitely lead you into a colourful dream. |
 | Shuzheng Qun Hai and Waterfall Shuzheng Qun Hai (Shu Zheng Lakes) contains many big and small lakes, which extend for about 5 kilometers. With an elevation difference of over 100 meters, the lakes form a stair-like lake group. The water is bright blue and clear. The clay-colored calcium dykes are elegant and refined, with a lot of weeping willows, pines, cypresses and China firs grown on it. Waters of upper lake leap over bushes and trees of the dyke, arousing a lot of white spray and forming many charming water screens. The whole lake group is clearly leveled with blue water and green trees, making visitors wonder whether they have stepped into a world of fairy tales.
Shu Zheng Falls stretches several kilometers. The 19 small and big lakes as well as the trees and waterfalls will afford you a splendid and magnificent natural view. |
 | Songpan Ancient Town
The historically famous border town located in Sichuan Province was originally known as Songzhou, however today this border town is known as Songpan “the Gateway to the western Sichuan Province” the ancient land of war. Songpan’s natural beauty is enhanced by its long history and ancient sites. Huanglong scenic area was recognized by numerous preservation societies as a natural scenic wonder. These societies include; The World Natural Heritage, the World of Man and Biosphere Reserve, Green Globe 21, National AAAA Scenic Spot four trophies, Muni Ditch, Dan Yun Canyon, Odd Gap, Xuebaoding, Red Rock, Prairie and other natural scenery, national heritage conservation organizations. The city’s attractions include the Sichuan Historical Cultural City, the long march of the Red Army Monument Park,"Maoergai conference" and “Shawo conference” sites. Songpan county is rich in animal and plant resources which include; cattle, yaks, horses, mules, donkeys, sheep, goats and pigs. The province also contains a wide range of wild animals (approximately 258), 110 types of birds; 120 types of mammals; 14 types of reptiles; 6 typs of amphibians and 8 types of fish. Furthermore the province contains: giant pandas, golden monkeys, Bornean clouded leopards and wildebeests. The country strives to protect its entire rare species populations, which include the species found in Sichuan Province such as: macaques, large Indian civets, argali, blue sheep and blue horse chickens. |
