Hubei Provincial Museum was built in 1953，is the only provincial comprehensive museum in Hubei Province，and the most important heritage collections, research and exhibition sector.The premises located at the shore of The East Lake, 300 meters west to the Hankou Railway Station.It was opened since October 1, 2001 .The main building includes exhibition areas, heritage warehouse space and ancillary facilities.The Building is spectacular, it has elegant set of oriental culture and modern features in one.The museum has more than 20 million pieces, including a cultural 812 (sets), treasures 16 (sets). Among the main archaeological finds, mainly pottery class, pottery, bronze, lacquered device, bamboo slips, weapons, ancient musical instruments, gold jade, ancient calligraphies and paintings, ancient coins. Hubei Provincial Museum expansion of construction in 2005,the construction area is about 32,200 square meters,Chimes Pavilion area is about 5700 square meters.Display the "Zenghouyi tomb relics exhibition." Exhibits are Zenghouyi bells, bronze statue disk and so on.Library has a special auditorium, use copy bells and Qing to play the ancient music based foreign songs, is a major feature of our library. We have played "bells music and dance" which was created from our archaeological findings overseas many times.It is known as a "wonderful cultural exchange".Beside this,we have many other well-known artifacts,poems,calligraphies,bronze ware antiques which are seeing the development of the history. |
