 | St Sofia Orthodox Church
The St.Sofia Orthodox Church is the largest Orthodox Church in the Far East. It is a perfect example of Byzantine architecture with a height of 53m. . Under the bright sun, the church, together with the square around it, reminds the Chinese, bizarrely, of the Red Square in Moscow. Now it serves as an architectural art museum run by the provincial government. |

Located at the Sun Island Park, fanciful sculpture are made in the shapes of animals, plants, buildings etc. Some of the larger ones have included a crystalline ice bridge. At night the sculpture are illuminated from the inside with coloured lights, turn the place into a temporary fantasyland. |

Yabuli Ski Resort is located in Shangzhi city roughly 200 km from Harbin city. Additionally Yabuli Ski Resort functions as China's largest tourist skiing holiday base, athletes' training and competition Resort, and as China's Antarctic expedition team's training base. Yabuli ski resort has 11 beginner, intermediate and advanced Snow Road tracks, which are divided into Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and cat jumping skiing divisions according to international standards and practices. The resort has the world’s longest slide at 2680 meters long, which holds the largest number of corners (48) and has a drop of 700 meters. The Yabuli Ski Resort has three Skiing Equipment rental shops, which are located in a close proximity to the three easily accessible cable car lines. Yabuli Ski Resort offers a broad range of travel and skiing experiences, at the resort you will find numerous restaurants, entertainment facilities and cafes all located close to the resorts accommodation. The best time to visit is November to February. |
