 | Imperial Summer Resort
Chengde mountain resort was the Summer Palace for the Qing dynasty emperor, which is located 180 km away from Beijing. It consists of Imperial palaces, royal gardens and magnificent temples. Located in the north of Chengde central district; it is on a long valley on the west bank of Wulie. The national tourism administration has declared that Chengde mountain resort and close by temples as a national tourist destination. The building layout of the home can be classified as the palace part and the scenery part can be classified as part of the Lake District surrounded by mountains. The best feature of the mountain is the garden situated in the middle of the park. After the construction of the summer home the Qing emperor spent a lot of time with the military, receiving foreign missions and being the frontier minority political leader. A series of important events happened here, important cultural relics were the final shape of the historical witness of the China national united country. The summer resort and temples nearby are not only in close connection of the organic whole but also has a different style of sharp contrast. The summer resort is simple and quiet elegant with the resplendent and magnificent temples surrounding it. It's the one of the important measures of the emperor handling national relationship.  | Little Potala Palace Little Potala Palace was built in 1767 and it is the largest of the eight remaining outer temples in Chengde, with an area of 220,000 square meters. Despite much renovation, it is still possible to understand the awe that visiting dignitaries, mainly from the far western provinces and Mongolia, felt for the temple. |
 | Puning Temple This temple, like many in Chengde, is designed mainly in Tibetan and Han styles, with various halls including the Gate Hall, the Bell and Drum Towers, a Stele Pavilion, the Hall of Heavenly Kings and the Mahavira Hall. The temple was built in 1755 to commemorate the Qing Dynasty victory over a troublesome Mongolian force, and a stele, in front of the main gate commemorates this.
