 | Water Village Zhouzhuang About 40-minute drive east of Suzhou or one hour drive west of Shanghai, the "Paris of the Orient," lies Zhouzhuang, the "Venice of the Orient," close and small enough for a quick day trip from Suzhou or Shanghai.  | Garden of Humble Administrator The largest classical style garden in Suzhou, the Garden of the Humble Administrator is one of the most famous in China. Built during the reign of Ming dynasty emperor Zhengde (1506-1521), it covers an area of about 4 hectares. More than half of the garden is made up of magnificent ponds.
