The Hanging Temple is located in Heng Mountain, datong, shanxi Province. What’s interesting is the Hanging Temple is the only one reserved temple which combines Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. That’s why it was protected by emperors from each dynasty since it was built. The most notable feature of the hanging Temple is its construction location, built on a sheer precipice, it avoided damage from strong wind, flood, and heavy rain. Except for the ingenious construction and profound religion culture, the Hanging Temple also stores many precious statues and calligraphy. There are two big characters carved into the big stone under the temple, which was left by Libai, who is one of the best poets in the Chinese history.
