Dujiangyan Irrigation Project
Dujiangyan Irrigation Project is located 60 km (or 37 miles) northwest of Chengdu City, in the western area of Chengdu's Plains, above Minjiang River. It was built over 2250 years ago to irrigate the Chengdu Basin, and it effectively controls flooding and has been cultivated the whole basin for more than 2000 years already.
