Great Wall of China Southern

The Great Wall of China Southern in Fenghuang was built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty; most of it was on the steep ridges, with a length of 190 kilometers. The Great Wall of China Southern is also called as the sidewall of Miao Minority. The Ming Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty built this great wall to separate the Miao Minority from others in order to consolidate their rule. This wall divides west Hunan into two parts: north of Miao Minority and south of Miao Minority. In this way, the rulers forbade the trade and culture change between Miao Minority and Han nationality. Generally speaking, the Great Wall of China Southern is smaller than the Great Wall, because the military power of Miao Minority is not that strong, so there was no need to build as magnificent as the northern one. Today, the Great Wall of China Southern is segment by segment after hundreds of years, and some well-kept part is the most distinctive one. People use the discarded bricks on other buildings.
