Shennong Stream originates from Shennongjia Main Peak. It goes through valleys and mountains from south to north, and falls into Changjiang River at the mouth of Wuxia. With a length of 60 kilometers, it takes in 17 rivers and 8 waterfalls on the way. As the rivers have lots of twists and turns, thus the saying "three bays in a mile, three beaches in a bay" was born. Shennong Stream can be called the natural stream without pollution. Three magnificent gorges, Longchang Gorge, Parrot Gorge, and Shennong Gorge stand out. In the gorge, it is easy to see sublime waterfalls, enjoyable plank roads, primitive baots, and local customs of Tujia Minority. Shennong stream sets its theme on the scenery of valleys, culture of boat tracker, and art of Tujia Minority. Pariticularly speaking, the projec of boat trackers is kept to today because of tourism, and this project is also called the best "living fossil" in Three Gorges area. The famous folk song The Love of Boat Tracker comes from Shennong Stream and is known all over the world.
