Xilamuren Grassland
Xilamuren Grassland is found in Inner Mongolia, as it is the closest grassland to the Province’s capital Hohhot, it attracts a steady flow of visitors year round. The translation of the Mongolian name ‘Xilamuren’ means yellow river or yellow water, which illustrates the beauty of the landscape. Xilamuren receives warm wind from Huhehaote in the south, which contributes to its mild climate in the summer months, the city’s average temperature ranges from 18℃-21℃. The best time to visit the city is the summer and autumn months, as the warm weather and local activities bring this northern city to life. The grasslands are located south of the ancient and picturesque Bailin Temple. During the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) a Lama Temple was constructed known as Puhui Temple; its ancient history attracts visitors annually from around the globe. Located on the Xilamuren grassland, the Puhui Temple, also known as Zhaohe Temple by local residents, has a history dating back more than 200 years. It was first constructed in Qing Dynasty, Qianlong period (1759). The temple is a rectangular shaped and faces south, the yard contains three pavilionswhich date back to the Han and Zang Dynasty. The temple’s graceful construction is split across two floors, providing this ancient relic with an ancient and serene atmosphere.
