Estimated Itinerary:

Your private English-speaking guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel around 9am.
This morning, our tour begins at the Lama Temple , a Buddhist lamasery of the Yellow Hat sect, a sect that's mainly associated with Tibet. Inside the temple, in the center of the Hall of Infinite Happiness, stands a grand statue, a 85-foot-tall Tathagagata (Maitreya) Buddha made from a single Tibetan sandalwood tree.
Then we will continue to a visit to Hutong by rickshaw. Through the hutongs' teeming maze of alleys, you will see the old courtyard houses and learn about the daily life of ordinary Beijing citizens.
After a stop for lunch, we will visit the emperors retreat, the Summer Palace. Used for eight centuries, the Empress Dowager Cixi had the estate renovated in the 19th century, including the manmade lake we see today.
During the day, we will stop by the Chinese fresh-water pearl workshop, where you may see how they cultivate pearls and tailor-made your own jewelries.
End the tour and transfer you to the hotel around 5pm.

Cancellation and refund policy for Activities reservation

If you want to cancel your booking or part of it, you must advise us in writing to Activities@ChinaTravelDepot.com by e-mail or 0086-10-58158822 by fax. The letter must be signed by the lead name on the booking and once we receive it you should expect to receive a cancellation letter within 24 hours. If you do not then please contact us to ensure your letter has been received.
To cover the cost of processing your cancellation and to compensate us for the risk that we may not be able to resell your travel arrangements, we make a cancellation charge on the scale shown below. The person who made the booking is responsible for paying this charge. The size of the charge depends on when we receive your cancellation notice or letter or how you would like us to deal with your payment providing that we have received your full payment for the tours.
No Cancellation Fees if written cancellation notice is received more than 30 days prior to tour departure!
